COFFEE AND MOVING IMAGES - Evening with dance films for professionals Thu 28.4.2022 cl. 17-20
Venue: Arts Management Helsinki, Iso Roobertinkatu 36, Helsinki
Dance artist and filmmaker Kati Kallio is calling for professionals and art students interested in making dance film / screen dance.
Do you make dance films / videos / screen dance or physical cinema? Do you miss collegial discussion, encountering, and sharing? Do you have a theme in your mind that you need the support, attention, dialogue, or mentoring of your community? Let's meet, get to know each other and discuss together how we could help our art form develop further. First theme of the first meeting will be the ethics and contracts of a community / participatory made dance film. Kati has invited her co-worker Elli Isokoski (Myrskyryhmä) to the first meeting to talk about her work in making a dance film with the elderlies. We will talk about the contracts and ethics when working in film with communities. Myrskyryhmä is publishing its ethical guidelines, which are guiding the dance group's work openly to the public, participators and founders.
The other part of this meeting is a free-form discussion, acquaintance and collecting ideas for possible future evenings.
The event is free and includes coffee and tea. Please register by April 26th 2022: [email protected]
